Where listeners can conclude ataumenduga intent of what had been said, this is known as the (conversational) implicatures. David Crystal gives this example: Speech: "bus"  implicatures (implicit meaning): "! We should run.

    1. Connotation refers to a meaning that is implied by a word apart from the thing which it describes explicitly. Words carry cultural and emotional associations or meanings in addition to their literal meanings or denotations.

      Denotation is the core or central meaning of a word or lexeme, sejauhdapat described in the dictionary. Therefore, it is sometimes known sebagaimakna cognitive or referential.
